Implemented training projects, 1996 to 2008


 

1996 - With support from the Eurasia Foundation, the WURC has published and distributed a Strategic Planning Manual for NGO

1996-1997 – Supported by the International Renaissance Foundation and the Carpathian Foundation, the WURC has launched a series of seminars for NGO activists in the mountain regions of Carpathians and organized training for young civic leaders in NGO registration procedures.

1995-1998 - The WURC has become a partner in the project “Partners for civil society” implemented by the Canadian Bureau for International Education. We have been trained by the Canadian experts and have held our own training for local partners.

1998 - The USEDPA (the Water for People Program) has funded our successful information and training campaign “Save water” in Lviv.

1998- The Carpathian Foundation funded a series of seminars for the newly established NGOs the WURC held successfully in the Lviv oblast.

1998 - The Eurasia Foundation in Ukraine supported the publication of our magazine for NGO Civic Initiatives(today the Civic Initiatives Journal)

1998 - The Canadian Bureau for International Education launched a partnership program within the Civil Society Community Roots Project. The WURC held a 2-year study program for NGOs, community leaders and communities; and organized some training of trainers.

1998 - The Canada Cooperation Fund has supported our project Community mobilization for participation in the local electionsthat included a training program for local election candidates in our target region.

2002 – The MATRA Program funded our project «Support to the development of journalists of the Ukrainian voluntary sector» that included training and roundtable discussions with the Ukrainian NGO journalists.

2002 - The MATRA Program has supported our project “Enhancing professional level of village leaders in the western region of Ukraine”. We have successfully held a series of training, published a reference book of community success stories in the target region.

2003 - The Eurasia Foundation in Ukraine has funded our project “Self-mobilization for the sustainable development” that delivered training and consulting support to local governance in the Lviv Oblast.

2004-2005 - The Eurasia Foundation in Ukraine has become a donor of the project “Strengthening village, small city and rayon councils inn the western region of Ukraine”, the project that continued our support to the development of local governance in the region.

2005 - The UCAN Program funded an innovative project “Success study films for the Ukrainian community development.” We have developed an interesting CD with success stories about model communities, and share this experience in our target region. This project started a more systematic work with a network of local communities.

2005- 2006 The Democratic Initiatives and Practices Fund has supported our project Community political dialogue for the transparency of local electionsThe WURC held a series of training and organized Oxford debatesfor local election candidates in the Lviv and Lugansk Oblasts of Ukraine.

2004-2005 - The UCAN Program hired WURC experts to deliver training services within the Training Program in financial management and key message development for the Ukrainian civil society organizations. We have successfully delivered these services in 5 oblasts (regions) of the west of Ukraine.

2005-2008 - Training and consulting in safe migration and official foreign employment - projects supported by the International organization for Migration and by the caritas Czech Republic, in partnership with the Regional State Employment Center. Currently we develop cooperation in this domain with the Institute of Work Market (Liublin, Poland)
