About the conference:
Students and young activists are invited to participate in the International Student Conference “Youth Against Human Trafficking”, which will focus on leadership, community involvement, volunteer work and understanding the modern-day phenomenon of trafficking.
During the three-day event, participants from different countries will learn more about youth countertrafficking work, participate in presentations and interactive workshops facilitated by recognized experts from the leading development organizations and companies, and learn from each other’s hands-on experience.
After the conference, participants will have an opportunity to apply for small grants to implement counter-trafficking projects in their local communities and at their university campuses.
Eligibility: -Students enrolled in full-time University programs are encouraged to apply. -Application is open for students from Ukraine, CIS, EU, Balkan States and Turkey. Students from other countries are kindly asked to contact organizers prior to sending in application form. -Strong English language skills are required as it is the working language of the conference. -Interest in volunteer work, community leadership and previous experience of anti-trafficking work are an asset.
Terms of participation: 100% travel expenses reimbursement (economy class travel only, original travel documents must be provided for reimbursement) Board & lodging provided by organizers

Selected participants will be informed by April 25th, 2009. Applicants are kindly asked to submit application forms earlier especially if visa to enter Ukraine is required.
