List of projects implemented in 2005-2008 years
Our recent projects and initiatives
Project “Prevention of illegal migration of Ukrainians to the Czech Republic” funded by Caritas Czech Republic. The project started in 2007 and will be continued during 2008. Program goal: Support the social and economic stabilisation of potential migrants, third-country migrants and persons without proper identification documents through social, legal and migration consulting, offer of information on temporary asylum premises, and an offer of educational and vocational classes. Funding source: Caritas Czech Republic, (original funding - Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic). Organization of trainings on Prevention of Irregular Work Migration for Lviv Oblast and local employment centers in the framework of the project “Strengthening capacity of the State Employment Service of Ukraine”, financed by the International Organization for Migration. This 5-month project started in summer and ended in autumn 2007, it was a part of a larger cooperation-building initiative of the IOM partnership with the State Employment Service of Ukraine. During the project the WURC and CMA staff has delivered 21 training in Prevention of Irregular Work Migration for the employees of the municipal and local State Employment Centers in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. Apparently, other small projects can further develop this partnership in 2008. Organization of a Regional advertising campaign on Migration Safety (2007), financed by the International Organization for Migration. The project started in November 2007 and will last until February 2008. During the project, 30 information stands will be produced and delivered to all local State Employment Centers in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. Besides, 10 000 migration-related calendars will be printed and distributed to local government, state administration and institutions, and to individuals in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. Project “Study program in prevention trafficking in people for secondary schools in the Lviv Region”. The project was successfully implemented in 2008. Project goal: to contribute to the prevention of trafficking in human beings, with special attention paid to young women and children, in the EU-bordering territories of Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, through the development and implementation of a secondary school study course on the dangers of trafficking and irregular migration. Political Dialogue with Community to Make the Local Elections Be Transparent Project (organization of seminars and discussions for local candidates in the East and West Ukraine) 2005-2007 UCAN Program. Delivery of studies seminars in the strategic marketing for the NGOs’ representatives in the West Ukraine 2005-2006 DIP Fund. Political Dialogue with Community to Make the Local Elections Be Transparent Project (delivery of seminars on the rhetoric and organization of public discussions for local candidates in Lviv and Luhansk Oblasts) 2007-2008 Eurasia Foundation Biogas: the Energy of the Future Project (installation of two biogas stations at local farms and communal enterprises in the rural areas in Lviv Oblast, delivery of studies seminars to the initiative groups, and experience exchange about biogas technologies development) 2005-2008 IOM Center for Migrant Advice in Lviv Project (provision of informational and consulting services to people in the topic of safe migration, prevention of illegal migration) 2007 Coalition of Netherlands Foundations (CNF) through the Carpathian Foundation in Ukraine. Center of Civil Initiatives in the Village of Uzyn (Ivano-Frankivska Oblast) Project (delivery of study seminars to the initiative group in the village of Uzyn, coordination of the small project implementation in this village 2006 Ministry of International Relations (MIR) in Poland. Civil Partnership in Planning and Management at the Local Level Project (delivery of study seminars on the community management to the village heads in the West Ukraine, exchange study trips of local self-government’s members to Poland 2007 IOM Capacity Building of State Employment Service regarding the Prevention of Illegal Migration and Human Trafficking Project (delivery of study seminars on the prevention of illegal migration to the state employment centers’ officials in Lviv Oblast 2006-2007 Ministry of International Relations (MIR) in Poland. Small Homeland Project (delivery of study seminars on communities’ interests promotion to village heads in the West Ukraine, exchange study trips of local self-government’s members to Poland 2007-2008 Ukrainian Social Investments Fund (USIF). Delivery of seminars on various issues of NGO and local communities’ management to the target communities – USIF’s partners in seven oblasts in the West Ukraine. There was delivered over 140 trainings there 2008 Committee of Voters in Ukraine School of Open Community Project (study of the initiative groups and village councils members in the West Ukraine regarding the raising the transparency level of local government and simplifying the people access to the local politics implementation 2007-2008 Caritas of Czech Republic. Prevention of Illegal Migration from Ukraine to the Check Republic Project (activity among the people in Ukraine regarding the prevention of labor migration to the Check Republic)
